She has lived in Pleasanton her whole life along with her parents and her sister who happens to be her best friend. Eva is bilingual and has studied Spanish since she was in Kindergarten. In eighth grade, she recieved two awards from her spanish teacher. The PUSD Honesty Award and the Spanish Department Program were awarded to her for her dedication to learning her family’s first language.
In her free time, Eva enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, reading, and watching TV shows. Outside of school, she volunteers with the Glamour Gals Club as the Communications officer. In addition, she works at Juice and Java and volunteers at her church and participates in youth groups. Most importantly, she manages her chronic illness 24/7. Eva has learned to accept her Type 1 Diabetes and sees it as a very special part of who she is. She sees her illness as a strength rather than a weakness and loves to advocate for others who have the same illness as well.
