Aashi Jain, Yearbook Editor-in-Chief
Returning to AV Journalism as the Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, Aashi Jain (‘25) is excited to come back for a third year. A senior at Amador, she joined journalism to fuel her passion for writing, politics, and photography. Aashi spent her first ten years in India, where she experienced both the conventional Asian education system and the international American education system, and she was able to maintain native-level fluency in both Hindi and English when she moved to the US in the middle of fifth grade. In this class, she hopes to improve her photography, InDesign, and writing skills.
Outside of journalism, Aashi fences, and is a nationally ranked referee for the same. She loves to bake at crazy hours, and eat good food. She’s interested in law, Model UN, and debate. This year, she hopes to join a political campaign and actively participate in it. Aashi loves music and her favorite artist of all time is Taylor Swift. Her favorite albums by Swift are Reputation and Folklore. She went to the Eras Tour and got to see the 1989 TV announcement live.
