Sydney Queen, Staff Writer
Sydney Queen is a junior who joined the AVJ staff for her first time during the 2022-2023 school year. She is interested in all facets of journalism and hopes to explore all that the class has to offer – especially becoming more present and involved in the community. Sydney, an avid writer from a young age, enjoys watching local broadcasts as well as reading articles on anything and everything world news. She listens to podcasts and watches dozens of videos daily to make sure she is on top of the headlines and knows what’s going on. Sydney is very excited to be a part of the AVJ staff this year, and she strives to help make this year the best one yet for the Amador Valley community.
Outside of journalism, Sydney has a passion for school spirit and is a member of Amador’s Varsity Sideline Cheer team. She loves being a team player and hopes to make great friends and connections with others in her class and all over AVHS. Sydney looks forward to joining clubs and other sports in the spring, and she aims to explore her many interests throughout the year. At home, she has a dog named George, who she claims is the cutest animal to have ever walked the planet (sources pending).
