Shimon Arai

Shimon Arai, AVT Editor-in-Chief

Shimon Arai (‘25) is a returning student in Advanced Journalism and is the chief honcho of journalism this year. He is extremely excited to work with the incoming staff this year as it reminds him of when he was an incoming editor last year. Over the past three years, Shimon has been in journalism writing, editing, and publishing several news stories, including an article that was awarded Best of SNO. With a multicultural background and long experience in AVJournalism, his mission statement for his last and precedent year is simple: bond, work, and learn together with other students.

Outside of school, he enjoys sketching and painting photos of the places he visited, like of the lighthouse at Point Reyes. He also enjoys biking around the Pleasanton/Dublin area. So if you do see him, don’t be afraid to shout his name and have a conversation with him. As he concludes his chapter in high school, he also wants to experience the thrills of being a senior.
