Sharon Jiang, Staff Writer
Sharon Jiang is an Amador student who wishes to attend some cooperative activities in her Junior year, and that’s one of the reasons she joined AV journalism. She moved to Pleasanton from mainland China two years ago, and felt interested in discovering different cultures and social issues, and always feeling like having a platform to perform her ideas. Even though she is kind of an introvert, she can be talkative and humorous as long as you become familiar with her, and one of her expectations of the class is to meet people that have the same interests as her.
Sharon has a large passion for digging resources about controversial issues, like things about gender, class, race, and intersectionality. She thinks we are currently living in a political era, it’s difficult for people to not adhere to public opinion, which causes misinformation to occur. She wants to work in AV journalism to provide data from different languages, different positions to help make objective news.
