In her first year with AV Journalism, Raahi Chakraborty (‘26) is excited to enter into the world of journalism as a member for Amador Valley Today. She’s thrilled to explore video making, interviewing others, and podcasting while helping to bring the school community closer together. Outside of journalism, Raahi is passionate about debate, and going to tournaments.She also dedicates her time to tutoring kids and English learners, finding joy in helping others succeed.

When she’s not at school, you can find her baking treats for friends and family or curating the perfect playlist—Frank Ocean and Lana Del Rey are her go-to artists. A bookworm at heart, she loves getting lost in fantasy and mystery novels. She’s also a fan of early 2000s TV shows, often binge-watching favorites like “How I met your mother” or “Gossip Girl”. Whether she’s at school or exploring new hobbies, Raahi is always eager to try something new and share her passions with others.
