Pareena Gupta, Amadon Editor
Pareena Gupta (‘27) is starting her first year with AV Journalism as page editor for the Amadon. She loves staying connected to the world and her community through publications such as the Pleasanton Weekly, Reader’s Digest, Time Magazine, and (and believe it or not!) the Costco Connection. Pareena is excited to create news content that is relevant and memorable for the Amador community. Pareena loves reading and analyzing literature in her English classes. She’s also a confident public speaker and placed second in the 2024 Rotary Speech Contest for writing and reciting an original speech.
When not framing sentences, Pareena is found running, reading, watching Gilmore Girls for the 6th time, or dancing. Pareena is trained in Bollywood and Kathak (Indian classical) dance and is part of the school Bollywood team. She also serves the performing arts community in Pleasanton by teaching dance to elementary and middle school students through Tri-Valley Dancers, a non-profit that she founded. Pareena has an oddly intense love for lemons. Give her anything lemon, and she’s happy to eat it! Pareena is excited to begin her journey with AV Journalism and looks forward to acquiring the skills of a professional journalist.
