Lionel Liu is a senior high school student involved in Journalism 1-2. During the 2016 and 2020 elections, he became interested in national news, politics, and societal events. Within the classroom, he hopes to write and film compelling, informational, and engaging news stories and videos. Furthermore, he likes to cover controversial stories around the world, especially as it relates to refugees and conflict. Outside of the classroom, he likes to engage in debates and have meaningful speech with others that may hold different opinions and perspectives.

Apart from school and Journalism, he also enjoys a variety of different hobbies, including weight lifting, fishing, and running, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. These include, but are not limited to, swimming, volunteer work, music, and learning new languages. Some of his annoyances include: Noisy pets, troublesome siblings, and extremely loud music. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in either Journalism, Animation, or Film.
