Leona Jew, AVT Editor
Leona Jew (‘27) is starting her first year at Amador Valley Journalism as an Editor for Amador Valley Today. She has previously been a courtroom journalist for the Amador Valley Mock Trial team, ranking third place in the county by the Alameda County Office of Education for Journalism. Leona also partakes in the Speech and Debate club as the Original Oratory captain. Her background in public speaking and legal journalism are what pushed her to join AVJ.
Leona takes comfort in life by playing the violin with her friends in a string quartet (thoughtfully named Strings Cheeses), painting, watching reality TV, journaling, taking walks, swimming, and adventuring solo. Her dream job is to become a historian and a baker, even though she can’t bake to save her life. She likes to believe she has a tasteful eye for photography and enjoys keeping people informed through pretty photos and catchy titles.
