Ian Cha, AVT Editor
Ian Cha (‘25) is an AmadorValleyToday editor in his third year of journalism. Ever since joining Journalism in his sophomore year, he has enjoyed writing news stories and taking photos, but the thing he has enjoyed most about Journalism is the opportunities it has provided to meet new people and learn more about the community he lives in. During his high school journalism career, Ian has photographed traditional Chinese lion dancers, went behind the scenes at a local pizza joint, and interviewed Google engineers. Good, clean, wholesome fun.
When not doing journalism-related activities, Ian makes sure to keep busy. He enjoys trail cycling and origami, and he once folded one thousand origami cranes as a summer project. (Unfortunately, he ran out of origami paper a few hundred in and had to substitute with printer paper, so it got a little sketchy near the end.) In terms of activities that actually contribute to society, well… there’s always room to grow.
