Gargi Kanetkar is a driven sophomore working with AVJournalism for the first time. In AVJ she aspires to explore everything, especially radio and podcasting.  She looks forward to working with the friendly team of AVJ and meeting other journalism enthusiasts like herself. Gargi is a two-time national silver award winner in a public speaking competition known as the Oratacular. In addition, she was the Editor-In-Chief of the Pleasanton Middle School digital newspaper known as The Imprint. Outside of journalism, she can be found listening to music, reading a good book, or dancing. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and is a committed member of the AVHS Color Guard. She prefers to spend time listening to podcasts or music while walking her dog. She is an animal enthusiast and jumps at any opportunity to take aesthetic pictures. Gargi is an outgoing and diligent student eager to be a part of the Amador Journalism Program.
