Emma Ka is a junior going into her first year of AV Journalism. She has loved writing ever since she began her first short stories at a young age, and she hopes to learn more about different aspects of narrative this year. She is also interested in exploring other topics she hasn’t had the opportunity to before, including graphic design and podcasting. In the future, Emma wishes to pursue a career in chemistry or medicine, but for now, she’s content with fostering her skills in writing and incorporating these subjects into journalism.
In her free time, Emma enjoys swimming, baking, watching Netflix, and spending time with friends. She also loves playing with her corgi named Charlie, although the feeling isn’t always reciprocated. Of course, one of her favorite hobbies is reading, particularly fantasy, or honestly anything with a good love story. She likes night drives, bookstores, crunchy leaves, and free Costco food samples. And more than anything, Emma dreams of traveling all around the world someday soon.
