Elyssa Lieu

Elyssa Lieu, AVT Editor-in-Chief

Elyssa Lieu is the 2021-2022 AVT Profiles Editor-in-Chief. As a senior who enjoys reading voraciously in her spare time, Elyssa is proud to represent the different people in Amador and spotlight their achievements. When not working on developing her journalism skills further, Elyssa is also a huge fan of reading British murder mysteries. Both Agatha Christie and G.K. Chesterton may be dead, but that’s not stopping her from devouring their works as fast as she can!

This year, Elyssa is aiming to become more of an all-rounder in the different areas of journalism. As part of AVJ’s leadership team, she looks forward to working with her fellow journalists to make the program even stronger. In her free time, however, Elyssa is a self-confessed daydreamer who likes to ponder weighty questions such as the merits of hippopotamuses and the quality taste of fried-egg-and-peanut-butter sandwiches, and although quarantine may have shot her social skills to rubbish, Elyssa can’t wait to work with everyone and see what happens this year.
