Chloe Fan, AVT Editor
In her first year with AV Journalism, Chloe Fan (‘26) is starting her first year of Journalism as an Editor for Amador Valley Today (AVT). She’s excited to try her hand at writing, interviewing, and photography—all while strengthening community on campus. Outside of journalism, Chloe is the Vice President of CTAC (California Teens Anti-Animal Cruelty), a nonprofit that proudly received an award from the California State Treasurer in 2024. When she’s not editing or advocating for animal welfare, you might find her on the tennis courts representing Amador Valley’s varsity team. A STEM enthusiast, she’s particularly fascinated by chemistry, constantly looking to explore and learn every day.
Beyond academics and extracurriculars, she’s a connoisseur of new foods, a dedicated shopper, and a girl who never turns down a chance to travel—Oahu and Hong Kong being top of her list. Her favorite downtime activities include binge-watching movies and shows like Mamma Mia, Kill Bill, Grey’s Anatomy, SATC, and Gilmore Girls (especially during fall); watercoloring cards for friends; and keeping her playlist diverse. Whether it’s new music or the latest hit series, Chloe is always up for trying something new. And if you ever want to chat about ABBA, she’s your go-to!
