Ahana Sarjapur, Senior Staff Writer
Ahana Sarjapur (‘26) is starting her first year at Amador Valley Journalism as a Segment Editor for AVTV and Business Manager. Ahana’s editing journey began in 2020 during quarantine, when she started to document time spent with family and friends by creating short vlogs using applications such as Final Cut Pro and iMovie. In her first year with the Journalism Program, Ahana looks forward to meeting new students, creating content for the weekly news, and hopefully attending the JEA convention in Philadelphia.
In her free time, Ahana enjoys attending her year-round swim practice, watching rom-com movies, listening to music, and traveling. She recently traveled to Kenya, where she was able to see the Great Migration and explore the local culture. Ahana hopes to travel the world one day and document her journey on her very own travel blog. Her favorite music artist is Frank Ocean, she could listen to his album “Channel Orange,” for hours. Her favorite rom-com is 27 Dresses; she could rant on and on about the movie and her endless love for it. She’s always down for any movie, book, or song recommendations.
