Jelly Belly holds golden ticket contest for consumers, similar to the Wonka golden ticket contest in the beloved “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”

Whether you’re a Willy Wonka fan, love jelly beans, or just have a sweet tooth, you’re in luck! David Klein, the founder of the beloved candy Jelly Bellys, just announced a countrywide golden ticket themed treasure hunt, where you can win five thousand dollars or even an entire Jelly Belly factory.

In each state, one golden necklace resembling a dog tag with a code printed on it can be found in a Jelly Belly package. Every lucky buyer who finds one of these tickets wins the big cash prize, but one especially lucky winner will win the key to one of Jelly Bellys’ candy factories. Each ticket contains a code that can be put into www.TheGoldenTicket.com. Only one ticket will have the code that grants them the key to their very own factory.

“It sounds like some Willy Wonka level stuff. It’s tragic that it probably won’t get the media attention it deserves due to everything happening right now. I definitely want to participate but only if I win because that would be lit,” said Dylan Easton (21’).

While finding the one bag of jelly beans with a golden ticket in an entire state does seem difficult, Klein has made it so it’s not impossible. To actually participate in the hunt you must pay $49.99 at www.TheGoldenTicket.com, where you will receive a clue as to where the ticket can be found.

Not only will this contest bring joy and a sense of chocolate factory nostalgia, but this will definitely bring in big bucks for the Jelly Belly industry.

“I think the contest is a very smart idea on the company’s end because it capitalizes the idea of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory so it draws in customers, which benefits both the consumer and the company,” said Kiana Lum (22’).

Being one of the most wonderful and fun children’s movies to ever make its mark on pop culture Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was definitely the film to go with to help promote the Jelly Belly brand. Before we know it this candy themed movie will be brought to life in a way we’ve never seen before.
