Preparations for the Donversity rally are underway as the vibrant teams and clubs of Amador come together to practice their thrilling routines and share their culture to the Amador community.
The Donversity committee is working diligently to put together the long-awaited Donversity rally, an annual tradition where clubs around the school showcase their cultures and talents to the Amador audience. Through weekly meetings, the dedicated committee members work hard to organize the rally by selecting hosts, planning the line up, preparing speeches, and handling numerous other tasks.
“When planning Donversity, a lot of coordination between different clubs is necessary as well as organizing performances, getting the audio visual team to help out with the sound system, and getting field trip forms from all the students that would like to participate” said Aashvi Geddam (‘26).
AV Dancers Make Preparations
One highlight of the rally are the various dance clubs on campus, such as the Bollywood team and the newly created Pom team. These teams dedicate themselves to weekly practices, working hard to perform exhilarating dances for the audience.
“Pom team is getting ready for the rally by choreographing a new dance and having practices and at those practices, we’ve been practicing our new dance, setting formations, and just picking our song for the rally,” said Pom Team Captain Mika Nakari (‘26).
Clubs of Culture
Amador audiences also get the opportunity to experience various clubs on campus, such as the Latino Club, Korean Culture Club, GSA, and many more. These clubs go up, one by one, to share their passions and hard work, whether through dances, musical performances, or fashion shows, or other creative showcases.
“I think it’s fun being able to perform in front of the school because we get to share our culture with the rest of our school through our dances, songs, and costumes. It’s also great spreading our diversity to the school and gaining that recognition from the school’s audience,” said Bollywood Captain Aadhya Pai (‘25).
The Donversity rally is a cherished tradition students always look forward to, and our school is working hard to organize it for students to enjoy on March 7th. It’s set to be a vibrant celebration where our school community comes together to honor our diversity, talents, and celebrate different cultures.
