Gonna fly now! AVJournalism students visited the JEA (Journalism Education Association) 2024 Conference in the City of Brotherly Love: Philadelphia, PA. Besides attending workshops and contests, students visited several historic and cultural landmarks, including the iconic staircase from the 1976 film Rocky.

At the JEA Conference, students had the opportunity to attend workshops and presentations hosted by Journalism educators from high schools and universities around the country. These events allowed students to learn more about photography, podcasting, writing, and broadcasting.

Journalism advisor and Comp Civics teacher Stacey Sklar gives students a guided tour of Independence Hall, the location where both the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were signed.

After a long day of attending workshops and contests, AVJournalism students and advisors took a walk to the famous Reading Terminal Market to shop from a wide array of delicious meals and desserts.
