On Friday, October 18th, Lululemon opened its 712th global store at the San Francisco Premium Outlets, next to the Columbia store. Although Pleasanton already has a Lululemon location at Stoneridge Mall, the new outlet quickly drew a long line of eager shoppers.
Race for Deals
“This is the only outlet in the East Bay; the other one is in Gilroy. This store marks down every item and sets prices as final sale.. We use little blue stickers to show the final price, and any items with white signs are deals of the day, which may change daily,” said a Lululemon manager.
Like other outlets, this store sells discounted items from previous lines or unsold stock from regular stores. Shoppers were excited to find lower prices here compared to the full-price options at the Stoneridge Mall location.
“We also have daily deals marked with white signs for even further discounts. This is the last stop for these items, so they’re usually priced as low as they’ll go,” said Manager.
For some, these markdowns were a big attraction, but others found outlet shopping challenging.
“I love outlets, and I love the mall, but finding sizes can be hard—often, it’s only XXL or XXS left,” said Deepika Suresh (‘26).
Despite these challenges, the Lululemon outlet at SF Premium Outlets had a successful first day, with lines forming just hours after opening and shoppers flocking to find the best deals.
