If you are looking for an interactive, family-friendly Halloween attraction, a great place to visit is the corn maze at the G&M Farm in Livermore.
“All ages, families, multiple generations, all kinds from all over [come],” said the event coordinator Barbara Dudgeon.
Located on 487 E Airway Boulevard, the bright yellow “Corn Maze” banner isn’t hard to miss. Admissions for each visitor is $10 and those under five can enter for free. Visitors bought snacks from different vendors, such as churros, soft drinks, and popcorn. Along with the tasty treats at the ticket and snack shack, this corn maze is the perfect family-friendly spot for kids and parents alike!
“It was quite fun, and it’s not busy, so I know they’re safe and having fun,” said visitor Junjan Kim.
Each year, the corn maze sports a different, eye-catching pattern from a bird’s eye view. Throughout the history, that tradition continued with cowboy-themed patterns and a horse at the center.
“I liked how there were two boards showcasing all the patterns through the years at the entrance of the maze. They were all stunning and very unique!” said visitor Siwei Ding.
As visitors roam around the twists and turns of the corn maze, they may also come across certain trivia questions relating to the fall season and Livermore’s history. Next to each answer is the direction to go next. If answered correctly, visitors are a step closer to the exit.
“I think for a lot of families, this is a tradition. I know all the kids love the different attractions,” said Dudgeon.
