For Juliana Yang (‘24), heading downtown to the Meadowlark Dairy after a tiring day at school is a must. Yang is one of the many students that enjoy walking down Main Street after school with friends
“The Meadowlark Dairy is really convenient because it’s cheap, it tastes good, and it’s really close as well,” said Yang.
From places where students can eat delicious frozen treats, to grabbing a drink with friends, the plethora of shops and restaurants available can always welcome students and keep them entertained. Besides the famous Meadowlark Dairy, other students like going to places such as Mr. Sun’s Boba, i-Tea, and Starbucks when they want a drink.
“My favorite downtown spot is definitely i-Tea because I think I go there the most. And it’s in a convenient location where it’s really close to school,” said Yulia Ikuta (‘25).
While going to i-Tea is convenient, Ikuta can also spend time with her friends, which is something she really enjoys. Like Ikuta, students often go there with friends, explaining the popularity and the long line to order.
“My favorite place downtown would either be Inklings or Starbucks. They both have really, really good food for a pretty affordable price. It’s not too pricey, and it’s a good spot to go study and hang out with friends,” said Nia Ou (‘27).
Like other students, Ou keeps affordability in mind while searching for spots downtown. Inklings and Starbucks are both two really popular places that aren’t overpriced. There are also spots for students that wish to study there as well.
“My favorite spot [in] downtown is the toy store, 5 Little Monkeys. We like to buy things that are bad for our wallets,” said Yun Soh (‘26).
Besides just drinking and eating, stores such as 5 Little Monkeys — which sell the trending Sonny Angels — have been booming with business with the recent discovery of student collections and favorite toys.
“I also know people that don’t even live in Pleasanton or go to Amador that take time out of their day to come downtown. It really shows how unique Pleasanton is,” said Yang.

Woah, those pictures are really good. But great job on the article, especially the transitions since they’re short and easy to read.
