Amador Students Join Movement Across Country to Protest for Gun Control

Cathrine Lilja, Editor-in-Chief

Our students stand up for what they believe in on Wednesday March 14th at a student protest. Together they protested the onset of violence in schools that comes from lack of gun control. They have joined the national movement of student protests today, one of many schools to make this statement. We are proud that our students have the ability to express their voices in such a powerful way.

  • Students stood as far as they could as they were being monitored.

    '
  • Students gathered at the front office to protest gun violence.

    '
  • Hundereds of students came together to make a statement.

    '
  • Many people made signs to hold during the walk-out.

    '
  • The whole school was silent as people protested.

    '
  • Many signs read the phrase, “Guns have more rights that I do.”

    '
  • Students also gathered out at the road for a gun control protest, where they remained silent, but were cheered on by the passing cars and parents.
